Bonny Method-GIM Level II training 2017

We are pleased to announce that Nagoya College of Music (NCM) is hosting the Bonny Method-GIM Level II training, based on the contract with Atlantis Institution for Consciousness and Music (AICM).  We have begun the registration process for the training.  It is open for public.  The training will be conducted in English with Japanese translation.  Please see the information below for more details.

 

  • Title: Bonny Method-GIM Level II training 2017
  • Period: From July 22, 2017 to July 27, 2017
  • Place: Doho Gakuen Educational Foundation Nagoya College of Music “Hall Do”
  • Trainer: Professor Jim Borling M.M., MT-BC (Radford University) Fellow, Association for Music and Imagery
  • Translator and assistant trainer: Nami Yoshihara (FAMI, Ph. D student at Temple University)
  • Number of trainees*: From 10 to 16
  • Tuition**:160,000 Japanese Yen
  • Prerequisite: Trainees must have completed GIM level I training.  If the prior level I training was from the institution other than AICM, please indicate during registration.

* The training may be cancelled if not enough people register for the training.  When the training is cancelled, the tuition will be refunded.

** You are responsible for the bank wiring fee.  All of the wiring fees are NOT REFUNDABLE for any reason.  You may have to pay multiple wiring fees depending on the number of intermediary bank between your bank and our bank. Average cost of wiring fee is approximately 8,000yen. Please consult your bank for more detail.

 

<About the trainer>

Jim Borling M.M., MT-BC,FAMI, is Professor of Music and Director of the Music Therapy Program at Radford University in Radford, Virginia. He is a Board Certified Music Therapist, Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery and Primary Trainer for the Bonny Method of GIM. He has extensive international experience in teaching with Carol Bush and Sierra Stokes-Stearns and others. He uses GIM in his private practice in Roanoke, Virginia. Additionally, Jim contracts with Avenues to Recovery Adult and Adolescent Substance Abuse Programs. He has provided GIM trainings throughout the United States as well as in Korea, Germany, Spain, and Mexico. Jim and wife Nannette are Co-Founders of “MusicVisions, LLC-Services for Healing and Growth” in Roanoke, Virginia.
